Gas & Steam Engine Museum

Open daily, this unique museum is a working collection as 95% of the collection on display is operational. Located on 40 acres of Vista land in Guajome Regional Park, the Museum gives an early 18th century life through the ongoing restoration projects, exhibitis and live demostrations.

The museum’s collection includes over 20,000 items ranging from steam and gas powered engines and horse drawn equipment used in farming, industrial trades and construction. Most items are housed in structures, to keep them better preserved.

There are also a blacksmith and wheelwright shop, gristmills, 1/3 scale train, a fun playground for children and a farmhouse with a parlor.

The museum seems to come to the most life during the 3rd and 4th weekends of June and October through weekend events that demonstrate the early days.
