Guajome Regional Park, once part of Mission San Luis Rey, covers 579 acres, including a 25-acre lake. The lake does not have a launch ramp, but is ideal for children to attempt their first shore fishing endeavor. In addition to the lake, this park also features a large children's play area as well as various hiking trails. Oceanside Dog Park
The park encompasses 25,000 acres through which over a hundred miles of hiking, horse and mountain biking trails provide visitors a rich view of Southern California forests. Park exhibits include the Stonewall Mine site offering a pictorial history of the greatest of Southern California gold mines, and the park museum telling the story of the native people who lived here for centuries.

The John Landes Skate Park
The John Landes Skate Park is located at the north end of the John Landes Park and Recreation Center facility. This skate park is not staffed and is open during daylight hours only. Skaters must wear appropriate protective gear at all times. Riders who do not follow this rule may be asked to leave the park by recreation center staff.
