Unlike many ports, all boats are visible from a two-lane asphalt drive encircling its shoreline. Restaurants, picnic tables and a Harbor Village with shops, eateries and a lighthouse along the nearby Harbor Beach create an enchanting experience and atmosphere. In Oceanside, the Harbor is a mecca for sportfishing, boating, whale watching and other water-oriented activities.
Sportfishing holds a prominent spot in northern San Diego County and this location in North County San Diego provides top-notch facilities for dedicated fishermen. The location offers a paved launch ramp, slips and boat fuel. While no rental watercraft are available, guests may purchase bait, groceries and ice on the premises. In addition, there are local restaurants and shops, all with a nautical theme. The launch ramp is free of charge, but some of the parking lots have a USD5 parking fee.
Harbors Days is a schedule annual event held the 3rd weekend in September.
