Preschool Storytimes
For ages 3 through 6, this series of programs includes stories, songs, crafts and other literature-based fun. For more information call the Children’s Desk at the Civic Center Library (760) 435-5590 or at Mission Branch (760) 435-5641.

• Thursdays at 10:00am for last names A-L
• Thursdays at 10:45am, for last names M-Z.

Lap-Sit Storytime
For ages 3 months to 24 months, prepare your child for early literacy.  Mothers, fathers, caregivers and babies are welcome.  This special storytime is perfect for bonding with your baby while working on language acquisition skills.  Songs, poems, fingerplays and nursery rhymes will be enjoyed by child and parents.  Siblings are welcome to come and participate!  For more information call the Children’s Desk at the Civic Center Library.

Toddlertime Stories
For ages 2 and 3 years, with adult, this drop-in series of programs features one-on-one adult/child stories, movements, music, crafts and other activities.  Toddlers learn language listening, sharing, imagination, and motor skills.  For more information call the Children’s Desk at the Civic Center Library (760) 435-5590.

Group Storytime
For groups of 10 or more children ages 2 to 6, with accompanying group leaders, this special storytime can be arranged in advance by Oceanside day care centers, Headstart classes, church nurseries and community agencies to make a field trip!  Stories, fingerplays, movies and other activities.  Call 760-435-5590 at least 2 weeks in advance.

Wacky Wednesday After School Craft Day
Drop-in craft program for school-aged children.  Call (760) 435-5590 for more information.

• 2nd Wednesdays of each month from 1:30 to 3:00pm

Paws to Read
For school ages, grades 2 to 5 only.  Enjoy a 15 minute visit with a “listening buddy” – our therapy dogs love to listen to stories!  Choose a favorite book and curl up with a new friend.  For more information call (760) 435-5590.
