Guajome Regional Park, once part of Mission San Luis Rey, covers 579 acres, including a 25-acre lake. The lake does not have a launch ramp, but is ideal for children to attempt their first shore fishing endeavor. In addition to the lake, this park also features a large children’s play area as well as various hiking trails. Early morning runners, who jog through the trails accompanied by pets, frequent the park. It’s the perfect place for a family day outing. Best of all, the park (including lake use) is free of charge.
Summertime at Guajome Regional Park arrives with high temperatures in the 70′s. Summer night lows dip down to the 50′s. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 60′s, and winter nights come with lows in the 40′s to Guajome Regional Park.
